Everything about Being Mortal?

It was a spirited and full group last night missing only Kathy (boohoo). We had many rousing discussions and only two bottles of wine and a few bottles of beer were consumed, so I think it is the people, not the alcohol getting credit for another interesting evening where it was a struggle to get a word in edgewise. We liked both of our books this time; Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng and Being Mortal: Medicine and What Matters in the End by Atul Gawande, and they both got 4’s by whichever complicated algorithm was used. We are sticking with the picks of The Japanese Lover and Nightingale for next time, which will be at Lu’s house on Nov. 5th. It was a pleasure to have almost all of you over, and surprisingly we ate almost everything!
