August 1, 2015 Meeting

what a delightful evening last night...yummy appies, sumptuous fish stew, fabulous side dishes, topped off by amazing flan and mexican wedding cookies. all delivered with graciousness by our lovely host lonnie. wow!

we believe we achieved a milestone last note with our first-ever zero vote for a book, delivered by nancy for the alchemist. while a couple members thought it was decent, with its message that you sometimes have to take a bumpy journey to realize that home was pretty good (paging frank l. baum!!), most were very underwhelmed. it received one star.

things faired better for the rosie project. we all appreciated the insight into aspergers and how it affects social interactions, though some thought that information could have been delivered via a better story. but others thought it was highly entertaining and funny. it got three stars.
