The Overstory, by Richard Powers, which is a comprehensive tome on little known tree facts woven into stories about some unusual characters: Some people and a 150 year old American chestnut tree. The many arboricultural facts and connections to everyday existence brought to the fore quiet and hardly noticed

"beings" in our yards and neighborhoods. This was a good, long and informative read.

The next book is "The Searcher" by Tanya French. Hoping to meet in January, stay tuned.
